About this course

Participants are introduced to screenprinting through stencil-based image making and the process of transferring an image into a print. They work from a drawing, painting, sketchbook image or photograph, applying the core principles of the technique while developing a personal project. The course takes place in a communal workshop, with ideas and discussion shared in an open forum. Learners with previous screenprinting experience can use the workshop to consolidate an existing project or develop new work.

Before you go

• Basic art equipment such as brushes, pencils and knives is available in the workshop, although learners commonly build their own set.
