4-Day Wheel Throwing Intensive

About this course

This course introduces wheel throwing from clay preparation through to shaping and finishing forms. Each learner works at an individual wheel, with teaching covering centring, throwing cylinders, making bowls and turning a foot ring. More advanced forms and construction methods include lids, casseroles, spouts, bottles, plates, cutting and joining. Learners receive regular tutor feedback and review their individual progress with the tutor. More experienced participants can work towards individual targets.

Is this course right for you?

The course is suitable for all levels, including complete beginners with no prior pottery knowledge and learners who already have some understanding of wheel throwing. Beginners can work through fundamental techniques, while more experienced participants can pursue individual targets and improve their existing skills.
