About this course
This course surveys Italy’s principal wine-producing areas, including Piedmont, Veneto, Tuscany, Umbria, Lazio, Lombardy, Puglia, Trentino and Sicily. Participants taste wines such as Barolo, Valpolicella and Chianti while examining grapes including Nebbiolo, Sangiovese, Corvina and Barbera. The sessions address Italy’s wide range of regional styles, grape varieties and flavour profiles, bringing together classic wines and newer examples from contemporary winemakers.
