About this course

The course introduces household plumbing, including hot and cold water supplies, above-ground drainage, domestic heating systems, sanitary ware and common plumbing fittings. It also covers conventional and combination heating, showers, pumps, taps, toilets and connections for appliances and outside taps. Teaching combines explanation with practical work in bathroom and kitchen environments. Participants practise forming and bending pipes, soldering copper, using compression and push-fit connections, installing pipework, and removing and refitting toilet components and radiators.
