About this course
Participants produce a series of rapid drawings through changing exercises that vary in pace, emphasis and degree of direction. Activities draw on observation and imagination, with traditional and contemporary approaches used to examine, alter and extend drawn imagery. Teaching combines briefings, demonstrations, set tasks, peer review and group discussion. Learners explore mark-making and respond to timed prompts, while some exercises leave space for individual reasoning and collaborative development of ideas.

Is this course right for you?
The course is intended for intermediate learners with some experience of drawing. The work involves rapid responses to set briefs, alongside individual tasks, collaboration, peer review and whole-group discussion. Participants should be able to follow spoken and written instructions, demonstrations and hand-outs.
