About this course
The course uses guided tasting to introduce more than 50 wines from major grape varieties and wine regions. Participants compare styles including Shiraz, Cabernet, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Sangiovese, Tempranillo, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Riesling, while developing a vocabulary for describing wine and a structured approach to tasting. Sessions also cover common wine faults, storing and serving, value for money, and matching wine with food. The course is designed around tasting and discussion rather than previous technical knowledge.
