About this course
The course develops wheel-throwing technique through guided exercises and tutor responses to individual questions. Early sessions focus on making evenly thrown cylinders, footed bowls, plates and lidded vessels, alongside repetition throwing and forming handles and lips. Later sessions allow participants to apply these techniques to their own projects. The course also introduces glazing and surface decoration, with time for continued practice at the wheel where appropriate.

The course is intended for beginners and intermediate potters, with an all-levels format that combines structured exercises and individual project work. Teaching takes place in a small group, with opportunities to ask questions about personal development.

Before you go
- Participants may glaze work for collection. If they continue practising at the wheel in the final weeks, pieces may instead be bisque fired for collection.
