Acting and Performing Skills for Budding Actors

About this course

Participants explore acting through drama games, improvisation, movement and work with scripts. Activities vary between whole-group, small-group, paired and individual exercises, with opportunities to perform for an audience and practise communicating meaningfully. Teaching is practice-based and includes regular verbal feedback, observation and question-and-answer activities. The course also introduces aspects of actor training, rehearsals and the work of an actor.

Is this course right for you?

The course is intended for beginners and learners with some basic acting knowledge. Participants are expected to listen and respond to instructions and feedback, contribute to discussions, read a script or related text, and work safely with others in groups and pairs.
