About this course

Participants develop acting choices through exercises and games informed by Stanislavski and Meisner techniques. The work focuses on genuine, responsive listening, creating credible characters and sustaining an immersed state in performance. The course builds towards an extended, character-led improvisation and includes collective ensemble work. Physical theatre techniques are also part of the class, with activities designed for a peer group working together.

Is this course right for you?

The course is intended for learners with some acting experience, including those coming from other intermediate acting courses. It involves collective exercises, extended character-led improvisation and physical theatre techniques, so a general level of fitness is requested. Regular attendance and punctuality are expected. No audition is required, with level suitability identified during the first session.
