About this course
The course examines piano repertoire across different styles and periods. Each week, three or four participants perform a selected work, while the wider group discusses performance practice and offers suggestions on technical challenges and interpretation. Work includes developing the technique needed for classical piano performance, stylistic awareness, tone quality, pedalling and memorisation. The format combines individual playing with group discussion, and regular attendance and punctuality are expected.

This course is intended for advanced pianists who meet the stated minimum Grade 8 standard. Participants are expected to perform repertoire individually and contribute to group discussions about interpretation, performance practice and technical issues. Regular attendance and punctuality are expected.
