Advanced Printmaking (Friday all day)

About this course

Participants develop their own printmaking practice through further exploration of intaglio processes, techniques, ideas and imagery. The course combines tailored technical demonstrations with workshops in a studio setting, alongside individual tutorials, group critiques and regular tutor feedback. Work focuses on developing a coherent portfolio of prints, with discussion and collaboration forming part of the studio environment. Final prints may also be submitted for the provider’s exhibition.

Is this course right for you?

This course is intended for experienced printmakers working beyond fundamental techniques. Experience of working in an etching or printmaking workshop is required, and participation includes individual tutorials, group critiques and collaborative studio discussion.

• Previous experience in an etching or printmaking workshop is required.
• The course includes group critiques and discussion alongside individual work.

Before you go

• Participants need to bring pencils, an eraser, a Stanley or craft knife, gloves and an apron.
• Paper and plates are available to purchase separately for use on the course.
• Other materials, including gloves, can be purchased in the studio or college shop.
