Arabic 2 lower: module 2

About this course

The course develops communication in Modern Standard Arabic and a closely related spoken form, with reference to major colloquial varieties where relevant. Learners work with everyday subjects including time, routines, transport, car rental, personal descriptions and differences between past and present life. Teaching centres on spoken interaction, supported by pair and group work, role plays, games, presentations, hand-outs and audio-visual resources. Grammar work covers word order, verb forms, negation, questions, comparison, attached pronouns and weak verbs.

Is this course right for you?

This course is intended for learners at Elementary (A2) level who have completed the previous Arabic 2 lower module or studied Arabic for about a year. Participants should already have covered tenses and be familiar with verb conjugation. Classes involve spoken interaction, pair and group work, role plays and games.

• Homework is highly recommended to consolidate classroom learning.
