About this course

The course focuses on spoken and listening Arabic for travel, covering greetings, hotel requests, ordering food, directions, transport, shopping and unexpected situations such as delays or lost items. Learners work with high-frequency vocabulary, survival phrases and pronunciation guidance, using transliteration in the early stages rather than concentrating on the Arabic alphabet. Teaching combines guided conversations, mini role-plays and scenario-based speaking tasks. It also introduces polite requests, everyday etiquette, service interactions and strategies such as rephrasing, clarification and buying time when a word is unfamiliar. The language focus can be adapted to the learner’s destination and interests.
