About this course

The course introduces Arabic through everyday topics including greetings, introductions, family, occupations and question words. Learners work on the alphabet, vowel length, pronunciation and core grammar such as the present simple, gender distinctions, case endings, and definite and indefinite forms. Teaching combines spoken communication with group activities and role-plays. The teacher uses Arabic throughout lessons to develop listening and comprehension, alongside structured work on vocabulary and grammar. Cultural content includes an introduction to the King of Jordan and the royal family.

What you'll learn

• Recognise and use Arabic letters, long and short vowels, greetings and question words.
• Introduce themselves and other people, including family members.
• Talk about family members and their occupations using foundational Arabic vocabulary.
• Apply the present simple and distinguish masculine and feminine forms.
• Use definite and indefinite forms, case endings and the nominative case in basic Arabic.
