What Pre-intermediate (A2+) Arabic means

At A2+ Arabic, learners can connect simple sentences, give reasons and manage a wider range of familiar situations.

About this course

The course develops Arabic through situations involving clothes, fashion, shopping, education and exams. Learners practise describing outfits, discussing opinions, reviewing a fashion show and talking about educational experiences, alongside cultural topics including traditional dress and education systems in the Arab world. Teaching combines spoken communication with systematic study of grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation. Group activities and role-plays provide opportunities to use the language, while instruction in Arabic supports listening and comprehension. The course also covers doubled and weak verbs, negation and the imperative form.

Is this course right for you?

This course is intended for pre-intermediate Arabic learners who have already studied the language. It requires previous completion of Arabic Level 9 or equivalent study of at least 108 class hours. Lessons are interactive, with regular group work, role-plays and spoken communication.
