About this course

The course focuses on communicating about news, broadcasting, social media, political debates, speeches, war and conflict. Participants also explore formal Arabic used in media and aspects of the Gulf region and Yemen. Teaching combines spoken activities, group work and role-plays with systematic study of media-related language structures, grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation. The teacher uses Arabic throughout the lessons, giving learners opportunities to develop comprehension and listening skills.

Is this course right for you?

This course is for learners who have already studied Arabic, specifically Arabic Level 10 or a course of at least 120 class hours. The Pre-intermediate (A2+) label indicates a stage beyond initial study. Participation includes spoken communication, group work and role-plays, with Arabic used throughout the lessons.
