About this course

The course develops Arabic through questions, directions, descriptions of cities, countries and nationalities, numbers, and buying and selling. Lessons combine spoken communication with systematic work on grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, comprehension and listening. Learners take part in group work and role-plays while the teacher uses Arabic throughout the lesson. Grammar topics include present-tense negation, sun and moon letters, the genitive case, Hamza spelling, Idafa, action verbs and the dual form. Cultural content includes exploring the Arab world on a map.

Is this course right for you?

This Elementary (A2) course is intended for learners who have completed a beginner Arabic course or at least 12 class hours. Participation includes spoken communication, group work and role-plays, alongside structured language study.
