What Elementary (A2) Arabic means

At A2 Arabic, learners can handle simple routine exchanges and describe familiar aspects of everyday life.

About this course

The course develops Arabic through communication-focused activities covering questions, directions, cities, countries, nationalities, numbers and buying and selling. Learners practise spoken interaction through group work and role-plays while building listening comprehension as the teacher uses Arabic throughout the lessons. Alongside communication practice, teaching addresses present-tense negation, sun and moon letters, the genitive case, Hamza spelling, Idafa, the dual form and action verbs. The course also includes a map-based tour of the Arab World and systematic work on pronunciation and vocabulary.
