About this course
The course examines how art advisors work with clients, assess collections and select and acquire artworks. Topics include establishing an advisory firm, business planning, legal and ethical practice, networking, valuation, marketing, branding and the management of collections, including handling, conservation and installation. Teaching includes contributions from professionals in art advisory and art investment, with discussion of client relationships, market opportunities and risks. Participants complete a final project developing a business plan for a potential art advisory firm.
