About this course
The workshop examines how artists develop themes and concepts, using illustrated talks to introduce different idea-generation methods. Participants then try these approaches through quick practical exercises, block-breaking activities and experimentation with materials. Teaching combines tutor-led discussion with individual exploration and reflection on participants’ own work. The course considers how experimentation can reveal new concepts and help learners identify a personal perspective in their practice.
