About this course

The course surveys how artificial intelligence has developed and is used, introducing machine learning, supervised and unsupervised learning, deep learning and neural networks. It also examines natural language processing, computer vision, generative AI and ethical questions including bias, fairness and transparency. Each lesson includes practical work with tools such as ChatGPT4o, CoPilot, Perplexity, Adobe Firefly, Dall-E and Midjourney. Activities include generating text and images and creating a chatbot, alongside discussion of possible future uses of AI in areas such as healthcare, business and everyday life.
