About this course
The course introduces tonic solfa as a way to develop the inner ear and a stronger sense of relative pitch. Learners work through singing exercises and drills, practise recognising pitch, sight-sing melodies, memorise musical material, and write down melodies and rhythms from what they hear. Some movement is included alongside the listening and singing activities. The course also considers how to distinguish stable from unstable tones and how to practise sight-singing more effectively.
