About this course
The course introduces the Windows AutoCAD interface and its 3D modelling workspace. Learners work with the Viewcube, command line and shortcuts while creating basic forms, extruding profiles, sweeping along paths, combining and subtracting solids, and applying fillets and chamfers.

Is this course right for you?
This course is intended for learners at beginner level who have no prior AutoCAD experience but can read technical drawings such as plans, elevations and sections. Participants should be able to use a computer, manage files, make simple measurements and calculations, and follow basic English instructions. The teaching includes demonstrations, practical exercises, group discussions and individual tutorials.
- Basic knowledge of technical drawings is expected
- Familiarity with Windows may be useful, particularly for learners moving from Mac
- Homework is assigned after the first two classes
