Bachata - Intermediate

About this course

The course develops Bachata technique through complex turn patterns, refined footwork, counterbalances, isolations, body rolls and waves, and syncopations. Sessions also address the mechanics of leading and following, partner communication and interpreting music in a social-dance setting. Teaching combines partnered practice with instructor feedback. The course also introduces Bachata’s cultural background and history, placing the dance techniques within a wider context.

This course is intended for dancers with Bachata experience or those who have completed beginner and improver-level study. Participation includes partnered lead-and-follow work, technical practice and social-dance exercises.
