About this course
Participants revisit and extend ballet foundations through work on posture, alignment, strength, balance and coordination. Barre practice becomes more varied, with exercises requiring increasing control and stability. The course also introduces linked movements, travelling steps across the studio and coordination between the arms and legs. Learners work towards performing short combinations with clearer transitions, spatial awareness, musicality and flow, including sequences remembered without relying on written prompts.
What you'll learn
- Perform a varied barre sequence with improved control and stability
- Coordinate arms and legs while travelling across the studio
- Hold a simple ballet balance such as relevé or passé for at least five seconds
- Perform a short choreographed sequence from memory with clear transitions and flow
