Ballet: dance with confidence in performance (improvers)

About this course

Classes combine structured barre and centre work with choreography developed through longer, connected sequences. Learners refine alignment, coordination, transitions and musical awareness before learning the routine progressively. Rehearsal includes ensemble and unison sections, with attention to memory, timing, flow and spatial relationships. The course culminates in performing the choreographed piece during a final sharing session.

What you'll learn

• Perform a 2–4 minute choreographed routine from memory with accurate sequencing and continuity.
• Apply dynamics, focus and facial expression in at least two sections of the dance.
• Maintain formation, spatial awareness and group timing while dancing with others.
• Complete the full routine without stopping while maintaining movement quality.
