About this course
The course introduces classical ballet through terminology, foot and arm positions, and structured technical exercises taught at a pace set for the group. Alongside ballet classes, body conditioning is used to warm up the muscles and reinforce studio learning. Participants also encounter repertoire from ballets including Swan Lake, Giselle and Sleeping Beauty, combining movement, active learning and introductory choreography work.

The course is intended for people new to ballet or those with little existing knowledge of the form. Classes combine movement, technical exercises, conditioning and repertoire, with activities paced for the group as a whole.
