Bass Guitar 2B

About this course

The course develops bass playing through work on scales, chord symbols, chord sequences, phrasing, rhythm and technique. Learners practise advanced riffs and grooves across styles including rock, funk, blues, swing, shuffle funk and country rock, with exercises addressing timekeeping and tempo. Classwork combines tutor feedback, question-and-answer sessions and performance of exercises with accompaniment from guitar, piano or backing tracks. Additional material covers theory and harmony, while play-along tracks support practice outside class.

Is this course right for you?

This course is intended for improver-level bass players who already have some experience, including those who have completed Bass Guitar 1. The level suggests development beyond fundamental techniques. Learners perform exercises with accompaniment and should be prepared to practise regularly between lessons.
