About this course

The course examines the responsibilities of door supervisors, including venue entry policies and the safety of people inside. It also covers Action Counters Terrorism training, physical intervention, facilities, workplace first aid and mental health awareness. Teaching includes workbook-based study, practical sessions and multiple-choice examinations. Employability content includes CV writing and personal finance. A final examination forms part of the assessment, and successful learners receive support with applying for an SIA Door Supervisor Licence.

Is this course right for you?

The course is intended for learners aged 19 or over who are legally allowed to work in the UK. Applicants must pass an English assessment at Level 1 and attend an information and assessment session before joining. Participation includes practical work as well as workbook and examination-based assessment.

• For SIA registration, applicants need a valid passport or a full or provisional driving licence.
• Applicants also need two forms of address identification, such as a bank statement, benefit letter or utility bill issued within the previous three months.
