About this course

The course introduces the main features and terminology of Excel 365 through guided, step-by-step tasks. Participants will enter and organise data, format tables, use basic formulae including SUM, AVERAGE, COUNT, MIN and MAX, and turn numerical information into charts and graphs. A weekly budget calculator provides a practical context for combining these techniques. Learning includes individual work, tasks with other students and tutor guidance, with opportunities to continue working through Google Classroom outside the classroom.

Is this course right for you?

This beginner-level course is intended for learners developing fundamental Excel skills. Participants should already be able to use a keyboard and mouse, understand basic file management, follow spoken and written instructions, and carry out addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Teaching includes individual tasks and activities with other students, alongside work outside the classroom.

Before you go
