About this course

The course focuses on organising files and folders across a computer, work network and cloud storage. Participants examine file types and sizes, use Windows search tools with filenames, document content and wildcards, and practise password protection, backup and restore procedures. Teaching follows a step-by-step approach, with learners completing tasks independently and alongside other students while receiving tutor guidance. Topics also include navigating and customising the Windows desktop, using apps and tiles, and pinning items to the Start menu and taskbar. Google Classroom is used for materials and work outside the classroom.
