About this course

Learners design and make their own stained-glass panel, developing the project through successive stages with guidance from the teacher. The course covers techniques for extending stained-glass skills, including working with leaded-light designs, cutting shaped glass, and using colour and texture in composition. Teaching combines group instruction with one-to-one support as each learner progresses through their project. The course is suitable for developing individual designs while receiving technical guidance on their execution.

What you'll learn

  • Design technically advanced patterns for stained-glass leaded lights
  • Cut difficult shapes of glass
  • Apply different stained-glass techniques within a design
  • Use glass colour and texture to inform and enhance designs
