About this course

The course introduces traditional jewellery-making through the design and construction of personal pieces. Participants work with metal to practise cutting, texturing, shaping and soldering, applying these techniques to items such as rings, pendants and earrings. Cabochon stone-setting is also covered, extending the range of jewellery designs that can be produced.

• Basic materials, including copper and brass, are provided.
• Participants who wish to work in silver may bring their own.
