About this course
The course introduces wheel throwing through guided practice with cylinders before moving on to other forms. Learners develop their throwing technique and work on shaping pots during the course. Further sessions focus on making handles and trimming finished pots, including decisions that give each piece its own character. Teaching combines demonstrations with individual practice at the wheel.

This course is for adults listed at Beginner level. Teaching starts with fundamental wheel-throwing techniques and includes individual practice within a small group of no more than eight participants. The source does not specify whether previous pottery experience is required.

Before you go

- Participants can choose up to eight pots to be fired.
- Pieces can be glazed in the studio's speckled white glaze, or learners can book a separate glazing class.
