Black Life Sculpture: Celebrate The Black Aesthetic In Clay, 2 Sundays

About this course

Participants work from a life model through observational drawing and clay sculpture, considering how looking, drawing and making relate to the Black aesthetic. Teaching combines demonstrations, step-by-step instruction and individual guidance while learners develop their studies in the studio. The course also includes discussion and debate about representations and stories of people of colour in museums and galleries. Feedback is shared at the end of each day, alongside guidance on preparing clay studies for firing and studio health and safety.
