Block Printing, Painting and Image Transfer for Textiles – Summer School

About this course

Participants explore three approaches to textile design: cutting and using printing blocks, painting directly onto calico, and transferring images with a heat-transfer press. The workshop combines tutor demonstrations with practical exercises, allowing learners to make printed and painted samples before producing a final piece on calico. Individual guidance and feedback are provided during the practical work. The samples can form the basis of later textile projects such as cushion covers or tote bags.
