About this course
This regional introduction uses a horizontal tasting from one vintage to compare wines from Bordeaux’s appellations and styles. The course examines how geography, climate, grape varieties, history, terroir and winemaking affect what is in the glass, including the influence of the Atlantic, rivers and local soils. It also covers Bordeaux’s grape varieties, key appellations and wine-label terminology, helping participants consider the region as a whole rather than focusing on one village or style.
