About this course
This class examines the diversity of Bordeaux’s Right Bank, including Saint-Émilion, Pomerol, Fronsac, Castillon, Lalande de Pomerol and Sainte-Foy Côtes de Bordeaux. It considers how limestone, clay and gravel influence wine style, why Merlot is central to the region, and how small changes in soil can affect wines from nearby sites. The session also looks at Entre-deux-Mers, including its white wines, blended production, Atlantic influences and environmental certification. These topics are explored through a guided tasting of at least seven wines.
