About this course

The course introduces ways to study and record plant forms using graphite and watercolour. Learners work from close observation, exploring accurate drawing, line, shape, tone, composition, detail and texture through demonstrations and guided studio exercises. Teaching combines sustained projects with presentations, individual feedback, group critiques, peer discussion and regular reflection. As the course progresses, learners spend more time developing a personal project and consolidating their techniques into a self-directed body of work.
