About this course
The course develops communication in a broader range of everyday situations through topics including making plans, organising excursions, asking for permission, discussing future events, experiences and emotions, and identifying animals. Learners also read short texts about Brazilian culture. Teaching centres on spoken interaction, with pair and group work, role plays, games, conversations, presentations and audio-visual resources. Oral and listening practice is combined with reading activities and topic-based discussion.

This course is intended for learners at upper pre-intermediate level who have completed Brazilian Portuguese 2 upper: module 1 or studied Portuguese for at least two years. Participation involves regular spoken interaction, pair and group activities, role plays and conversations.
- A substantial amount of learning takes place through spoken interaction.
- Homework is highly recommended to consolidate learning.
