About this course
The course introduces how Brazilian Portuguese works while also noting differences from other varieties, particularly European Portuguese. Learners practise greetings, introductions, spelling, asking about word meanings, exchanging basic personal information, discussing family and describing or identifying people. Teaching centres on spoken communication, with pair and group activities, role plays and language games supported by presentations, handouts and audio-visual resources. Course content is based on units 0 to 3 of the specified Brazilian Portuguese coursebook, although the units covered may be adjusted to reflect learners’ needs.
