About this course

The course covers the development of contemporary bridalwear, beginning with a chosen bodice design informed by current trends. Further work examines skirt patterns and wedding-dress silhouettes, including fishtail and bias cuts, alongside toiles for different shapes. The course also introduces bridal surface decoration such as lace, piping and bias frills, with discussion of veil and petticoat types.
