About this course
This course develops English for common workplace communication as a bridge from ESOL towards Functional Skills study. Learners practise speaking with a manager, following instructions, listening for workplace information, and reading signs, notices, forms and basic reports. Writing activities cover work-related messages, notes and emails, alongside clearer writing through punctuation, technical vocabulary and literary devices. The course also includes presenting ideas, joining discussions and responding to others. Learning is guided by a tutor, with learners working at their own pace.
