About this course
This introductory course presents British Sign Language as a language with its own vocabulary, grammar and structure. Learners practise signing their name, using numbers, greeting others, introducing themselves and sharing simple information. Teaching combines tutor demonstrations, videos, role-play, pair and group activities, and story-building exercises. Communication takes place without voice.
