About this course
This introductory session gives learners an overview of British Sign Language at beginner level. It focuses on understanding and using a basic range of signs, alongside elementary fingerspelling. Teaching combines tutor demonstrations with pair and group work, supported by question-and-answer activities. The session is designed as a one-off introduction, with the opportunity to discuss subsequent BSL course options with the tutor afterwards.
