About this course

The course introduces the responsibilities of administrators and the role of basic finance within business operations. Participants develop professional verbal and written communication, word-processing skills, presentation techniques and an understanding of sustainable office practices. Teaching combines step-by-step tutor guidance, real-world examples and individual tasks. Learners practise planning and delivering presentations, creating professional documents and applying business skills to workplace situations. Progress is assessed through a portfolio of evidence developed across the course units.

Applicants must be aged 19 or over and have English skills working towards Level 1, plus digital skills at least at Level 1.

  • English ability is assessed through the college's testing system and a piece of free writing
