Cake Decorating - Wafer Paper Designs and Flowers


A hands-on, all-levels course covering wafer paper colouring, shaping, flower-making and cake decoration.
About this course
The course introduces wafer paper as a medium for contemporary cake decoration. Participants explore how to condition and colour it using food colours, lustre dusts and airbrushing, then form decorations including ruffles, bows, fans and butterflies. The class also covers making lightweight, realistic flowers and arranging and attaching wafer paper designs to cakes. Teaching includes observation and developmental feedback from the teacher, with an emphasis on applying the techniques to decorative cake designs such as wedding cakes.
