About this course

The course examines photography without a camera, using the physical effects of light and chemicals on a two-dimensional surface. It is based in the black-and-white wet darkroom, where participants are introduced to a series of straightforward cameraless techniques. After demonstrations and introductions to the techniques, participants have time to explore their own creative approaches within these processes. The work connects photographic image-making with elements of painting, printmaking and graphic practice.

What you'll learn

  • Apply introductory techniques in a black-and-white wet darkroom
