Jewellery Making

All Levels

A jewellery casting course covering wax modelling, Delft clay and cuttlefish casting for learners with some prior jewellery-making experience.

About this course

Participants develop small jewellery pieces and objects through demonstrations, practical workshop work, group discussion, peer learning and individual tutorials. The course explores Delft clay sand casting and cuttlefish casting, including wax-carved models, surface texture and casting in metals such as bronze and pewter. Tutor guidance supports personal projects from initial ideas through to finishing. Learners practise filing, polishing and other refinement techniques, then review their work and creative process through feedback and discussion. Structured projects are available, while individual aims and progression are considered throughout the course.
