About this course
Participants design and make ceramic decorations and gifts, with examples including tree ornaments, gift tags, tealight holders, candlestick holders and table centrepieces. The class introduces hand building and decorative techniques, alongside guidance on using pottery tools and working safely in the studio. Learners receive tutor support while developing their own clay objects. Completed pieces are fired and glazed before being returned.

Before you go
- Wear clothes that can get dirty and closed-toe shoes.
- Bring a pen and notebook.
- Participants may bring their own clay tools, although pottery tools are available to use and beginners’ packs can be bought at the college.
- Clay is charged by weight, including bisque and glaze firing.
- Finished pieces are fired and glazed before being returned.
